Creator Joss Whedon has announced the “air” dates for Doctor Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog. The episodes will air on the official website drhorrible.com as follows:

Part 2 - Thursday July 17
Part 3 - Saturday July 19

Now it’s time to spread the word far and wide to all the corners of the interweb. Grab some banners from the official site and post them everywhere you go - and be sure to cover those places people wouldn’t normally hear about this.
This is your chance to play a part in changing the face of the entertainment industry forever.
Joss Whedon:“[Do] What you always do, peeps! What you’re already doing. Spread the word. Rock some banners, widgets, diggs… let people know who wouldn’t ordinarily know. It wouldn’t hurt if this really was an event. Good for the business, good for the community – communitIES: Hollywood, internet, artists around the world, comic-book fans, musical fans (and even the rather vocal community of people who hate both but will still dig on this). Proving we can turn Dr Horrible into a viable economic proposition as well as an awesome goof will only inspire more people to lay themselves out in the same way. It’s time for the dissemination of the artistic process. Create more for less. You are the ones that can make that happen.”
Chances are if you’re visiting this website it’s because you’re a fan of Serenity and therefore a fan of Nathan Fillion and Alan Tudyk. Right now you have the opportunity to buy comics personally autographed by Nathan Fillion and/or Alan Tudyk in support of the “I Am A Softwire” campaign established to combat industry statements like “Science fiction is dead” and “Kids don’t read science fiction”. Of course, many people believe this kind of statement is completely inaccurate so the group has set up to try and raise awareness of the issue and support the future of Sci-Fi novels.
So, if you agree with Nathan Fillion and Alan Tudyk that Science Fiction is not dead, and that kids are eager to read Science Fiction books if they’re actually made available to them, then do yourself a favour and pick up one of these autographed comics from the I Am A Softwire group on Ebay.
DoctorHorrible.net is saying that Joss & Nathan along with the rest of the cast & writers will be attending the San Diego Comic-Con in July. This has been confirmed by Joss Whedon at Whedonesque.

All three actors: Neil Patrick Harris, Felicia Day and Nathan Fillion will be present as will the writers: Joss Whedon, Jed Whedon, Zack Whedon & Maurissa Tancharoen.
We do our best to keep this site updated with info about upcoming Firefly/Serenity events but there’s a website that might be of more value with an events calendar tracking Firely & Stargate events.

Earlier this year we posted about the new Firefly box-set release that was coming out soon (mentioned by Jewel Staite while in Australia). This new release will be blu-ray and the “powers that be” are interested in what fans would like to see on the new release. Some ideas that people have presented include commentaries, cast & crew interviews, deleted scenes and outtakes.
What would YOU like to see on a new release of Firefly?
Another important question I think needs considering is how long do fans settle for re-releases of the same products? While I believe this is the first time Firefly has been released since the original, we all know that there are multiple versions of Serenity available. Will fans rushing out to buy this new release make Fox think all they need to do to keep making money from Firefly fans is re-release the same product and that there’s no need for them to consider extending the series in some way?
Please feel free to submit your comments on both issues here.
